This CAB-OCTAL-MODEM cable is commonly referred to as an "octopus" or "octal" cable. Each lead or "tentacle" of the "octopus" cable ends in a male DB-25 connector. The other end, or base, of the cable has the 68-pin connector. The octal cable may be used in the CISC0 access server series 2509 through CISC0 2512. In addition, this octal cable connects to the CISC0 NM-16A and NM-32A network modules.
